Weight Loss Challenge

How It Works

I hope this means your somewhat motivated to get started with the challenge.  This is how it works.

First, you need to choose some sort of "Challenge Nickname".  This nickname will be used throughout the Challenge to keep yourself and others informed of everyones progress.    Some names from the last challenge were Big Mamma (last years winner), Spuds, Bikini Bound, Etc.....  Nobody, including myself will  know your real name (unless you feel like sharing it at some point). 

The Challenge is going to officially start on January 2nd, but late comers will be allowed to enter up to January 15th. If you send in your entry before the 2nd, your start date will be the January 2nd.  If you send it after the 3rd then your start date will begin the day you send in your entry. 

If your one of those that needs help staying motivated, you can build a Challenge Team.  This team can consist of 1-4 members.  Come up with a team name as well as your own challenge nickname.  When filling out the entry form each team member must complete a form with their own individual starting weight on the form (I'll add the combined weight once I receive everyone's form).  Note: keep your team motivated, if you are part of a team, you compete as a team.  If you end up being the biggest loser, and your team bails on you, it lowers your total percentage.  So if you can't keep your team motivated, I would recommend competing solo.   

Be sure to include your email address on the form.  This is the only way I have of communicating with you.  Your email will not be given to anyone and will only be used for communication purposes only.  Plus, if you win, I have to find you to give you your prize.

Speaking of prizes, as in the past, I'm not going to tell you what the prizes are.  Just know that its worth it (if any of you know me, I'm not a cheap skate:)  )  Not to mention you get healthier in the process.  There will be prizes for the Biggest Loser, the second Biggest Loser, and the third Biggest Loser.

This contest is on the honor system.  Please be honest with your weigh in numbers.  All we ask is that you use the same scale to weigh yourself throughout the challenge.  I (aka Pedaldork) compete with you in the challenge but sadly I'm not allowed to win.  I hope you will join us in the challenge.  It's a fun way to get in shape and stay motivated. 

Challenge ends on April 1.  Be aware that total weight loss is taken as an average of your starting weight.  For example,  if your starting weight is 210lbs and you lose 15 lbs, your percentage lost is 7% of your starting weight. (15/210=.07) The highest percentage lost is the winner!!!!
